Our Legal Knowledge and The Relationship of Trust
We are a rather small firm concentrating on a comparatively small number of legal fields, among which are commercial law, company law, intellectual property and copyright law and the law of the New Media. Our firm’s seat is Berlin; we maintain a branch office in Brussels.It is our conviction that the success of our work for our clients is dependent not only on our legal knowledge and experience but quite pre-eminently on our clients and us building up a relationship of trust in a close co-operation. Our endeavours to achieve that relationship of trust count a lot for our clients’ and thus our success.
By virtue of our concentration on a small number of legal fields, we have gained special experience and advise our clients in their cross-border activities even. In our work we can rely, if necessary, on a number of long standing relationships to other law firms and other advisors. Among others, we maintain our Brussels branch in co-operation with a large Brussels law firm.
Our Clients
The range of our clients, who are in their majority medium sized enterprises and entrepreneurs from all over Germany and abroad, comprises founders through PLC’s, single entrepreneurs through executive and supervisory boards members or shareholders of bigger companies, from industry through traditional services to enterprises of the IT-industry.
Our Fees
We know that many clients feel that lawyers’ bills lack transparency. Flat fees like the fees of the German ”RVG” (Statute on Professional Fees of Lawyers) are frequently in the interest of the client because they fix the cost. If we work on hourly fees in accordance with a written document between the client and us, we specify in our bills the begin and the end of and the exact work undertaken.Please note that for the services of a German ”Notar” (notary public) the legal fees are binding; exceptions are not permitted.
Our Activities In The Sector of Medium Sized Enterprises
We consider the profession of a lawyer special. We therefore find it important to gain additional and share our experience through an exchange of ideas with also such enterprises which are not our clients.Our firm therefore participates in
BITKOM - Bundesverband Informationswirtschaft Telekommunikation und Neue Medien e.V., the leading German association of businesses in the IT- and the sector of New Media, and maintains ties to ASU - Arbeitsgemeinschaft Selbständiger Unternehmer e.V., the important German association of entrepreneurs.
